Hi, my name is Jo and I’m a Creative Designer based in London.
I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2001 with a degree in Journalism and moved to London in 2003. As a Creative Designer, I consider myself to stand apart from others in that I combine word-based skills with a flair for design and visuals.
With over 15 years’ experience as an editor, designer and marketing manager, I have extensive knowledge across print, digital and social.
I possess excellent communication skills whether face-to-face, on the phone or in writing. I am creative, have an exceptional eye for detail and can think outside the box. I am self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision. I am adept at being flexible with forward planning for efficiency and effectiveness. I have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects while under pressure and to deadlines.
My interests include travel, Formula 1, history (WWII), photography, crafting, reading and listening to a variety of music genres. In 2008 and 2010 I took part in the MoonWalk Marathon in London in aid of Cancer Research and in 2014 I climbed Kilimanjaro in aid of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, helping to raised £50,000 for the charity. I love a challenge and, when I put my mind to it, I can achieve anything with determination, perseverance and a bit of grit.
I’m a geek, I’m afraid of zombies, I love cosplay and I’m allergic to strong mints.
