Hi, my name is Jo and I’m a Creative Designer based in London.
I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2001 with a degree in Journalism and moved to London in 2003. As a Creative Designer, I consider myself to stand apart from others in that I combine word-based skills with a flair for design and visuals.
With over 10 years’ experience as an editor and designer, I have extensive knowledge across print, digital and social. I am able to create high quality products using Adobe CC as well as being very knowledgeable of marketing techniques and web design including CMS and HTML. I possess advanced knowledge in using all Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook). I also have experience in branding, implementing in-house templates and corporate guidelines, and creating dynamic presentations.
I have a keen interest in social media marketing and communications and am proficient in using Google Analytics, Oktopost, Hootsuite and Sprout Social to develop, analyse and improve social media strategies. I also have experience with PPC advertising, SEO and digital marketing.
My interests include travel, Formula 1, taxidermy, history (WWII), photography, reading and listening to a variety of music genres. In 2008 and 2010 I took part in the MoonWalk Marathon in London in aid of Cancer Research and in 2014 I climbed Kilimanjaro in aid of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, helping to raised £50,000 for the charity. I love a challenge and, when I put my mind to it, I can achieve anything with determination, perseverance and a bit of grit.
I’m a geek, I’m afraid of zombies, I love cosplay and I’m allergic to strong mints.
